Meet the Vendors Behind Your Food

There is so much that takes place before you put fresh, green vegetables on the table. Think ploughing, planting, weeding and so much more. You can take the opportunity to learn about this directly from the farmers. At South Kensington Farmers’ Market, you meet the people who feed you. Dorset Fish brings in that morning’s catch so you know exactly how fresh your seafood is. Parsons Nose hands you free‑range pork sandwiches that reset your expectations. You can talk face‑to‑face with the farmers, ask about their animal‑care practices, and see real food accountability in action.

Other vendors are Ted’s Veg, Perry Court Farm, Akiki Organics, and Wild Country Organics—all offering 100% organic, chemical‑free produce. For a special meal, pick up grass‑fed lamb or beef from Beatbush Farm. And don’t forget to stop by Fosse Meadows for free‑range poultry that adds real flavor to any gathering.

Produce You’ll See at the Market

Shoppers are likely to find more summer treats, including sun-sweet strawberries still at their peak, crisp English peas ready for shelling, and tender baby new potatoes that barely need washing before roasting. Other expected produce includes leafy greens, lettuces and fresh herbs like mint and dill.

If you prefer versatile summer veggies, courgettes and tender spring onions will also be available. Arrive early to grab some lobster, fresh fish and crabs at The Well Dressed Crab. Some stalls specialise in mouth-watering honey, cheese, sweet jam, and plenty of vegetables and fruits — all perfect to enjoy during your stay at south Kensington apartments for rent where comfort meets convenience in the heart of the city.

Shopping with Sustainability

Bulk shopping should not be an opportunity to pollute the environment we live in. In fact, take this as an opportunity to create awareness around pollution. Sure, there will be a lot to buy, but no matter how much you buy, sustainability should be a priority. The best advice? Carrying your bags and containers to prevent littering the environment with plastic bags. Many stalls here allow shoppers to buy in bulk or fill their own jars so they don’t overbuy; which is also a great strategy. If possible, choose organic or regenerative farms to back eco-friendly growing methods. Every little choice counts, and your shopping can show both good taste and care for the planet.

How to Make the Most of Your Market Visit

Want the best experience? The earlier you arrive the better. Produce like fresh meat and fish tend to sell out quickly, so set up your alarm if need be. Most stalls accept cards, but it is more convenient if you carry some cash as well. There’s an ATM just outside South Kensington tube if needed. Comfortable footwear is also a must-have due to cobblestone streets. If planning to buy some frozen or chilled stuff, bring along some insulated bags as well.

Booked a Date Yet?

South Kensington Farmers’ Market is exactly where you should be this weekend. Whether you're staying at Presidential Apartments Kensington or just passing through, you can shop for the week, find cooking inspiration, and soak in the relaxing atmosphere surrounded by fresh produce. So gear up and head out — let the sensory experience of the market uplift your weekend spirit.

Why the World Should Take Note of London Transport

In 2003, London enforced a congestion charge for motorists coming into the city. The charge demonstrated that London was serious in its efforts to decrease the traffic in the city. It was determined to do its part to address environmental concerns. The move resulted in a successful crack-down on pollution. It brought down the number of incoming vehicles while it increased the number of cyclists by about 30%.

London continues in its efforts to achieve sustainable transport. It continues to turn out policies promoting the welfare of cyclists and pedestrians. It continues to initiate and support projects that focus on the environment. It is apparent that the city is doing all that it can to reach its lofty goal – to become the 1st “Ultra-Low Emission Zone” in the world by the year 2020.

London pursues the following commendable initiatives:

Cycling

TfL or Transport for London initiated the London Cycle Share Scheme in 2010. The initiative is now referred to as Santander Cycles. Two years after the project’s introduction, records showed that people were using the venture’s 8,000 bikes to go on about 19 million trips. The scheme is estimated to have encouraged half of its users to use cycling as the favoured mode of transportation. If you are staying in one of the serviced apartments London, you may want to consider going around the city on a bike.
Gensler, a global consulting firm in the field of architecture, planning, and design, is looking into the possibility of transforming some of London’s abandoned underground tunnels into pedestrian and cycle routes. There are also plans to make over an old industrialized park located in Islington into a commercial area with a bike park that can accommodate about 900 bicycles.

Public Transport

London is seriously considering using electric vehicles as a form of public transport. It has given one of its iconic double-decker buses a “green” transformation, making it the 1st completely electric bus to serve the city.
There are firm plans for the Tube to run 24 hours daily on week-ends. This will ensure that passengers will enjoy an environmentally-friendly and safe transport around-the-clock within the city.

Electric Cars

London is looking forward to imitating Paris’ lead and having more electric cars running on its streets. The Transport for London is working closely with France’s Blue Point London to roll out around 3,000 electric vehicles-for-hire across the city, similar to Paris’s Autolib. London is also looking into having its own version of Cityscoot, the French capital’s self-service scooter system.

Going around London is safe and convenient. You will not have any problem looking for excellent transportation, particularly if you stay in one of the conveniently located aparthotels London.

Central London and What It Offers

A trip to London would not be complete without a visit to Central London, which is home to many of the city’s most important attractions. If you’re planning to see Central London during the holidays, and you have yet to find a place to stay, there are several aparthotels London that you may wish to consider staying in.

One such place is Presidential Serviced Apartments in Kensington. With the nearby Earl’s Court tube station only a three-minute walk away from the apartments, you are granted a pass to many of Central London’s most fascinating sights.

If you’re with your family, a trip to the British Museum is worth it. The museum’s astounding antiquity collection features the Assyrian, Egyptian, Celtic, Roman, and Greek civilizations.

Buckingham Palace, the Queen’s official London residence, is not one place that you’ll miss. The Queen’s Gallery and the State Rooms are reasons enough to visit the palace. The Houses of Parliament, which contains the House of Commons and the House of Lords, is also a must-see place for its architecture and significance to British politics.

If you seek to know more about British history, it’s just right that you drop by the National Gallery. The National Portrait Gallery within the complex records British history from the time of the Tudors to later portraiture. For modern art, you can head to Tate Modern, which is nestled in the former Bankside Power Station.
Religious structures that figure importantly in the history of the Royal Family, including Westminster Abbey and St. Paul’s Cathedral, should be on your Central London itinerary.

St. Paul’s Cathedral, which once dominated the city skyline for several centuries, was the site for Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer’s wedding. Westminster Abbey, is the site for many royal coronations. The Abbey is also the burial site for many royals and non-royal notables.

Your vacation and holidays in London would be delightfully hassle-free when you stay at one of the best holiday apartments London. Presidential Serviced Apartments, aside from being close to the Earl’s Court tube station, offers you and your family a hospitality experience that would make you feel as if you’re in your own home.

The self-catering apartments are spacious and are stocked with air-conditioning, full-service kitchens, high-speed Internet, orthopedic beds, flat-screen TVs, and the standard linens, toiletries, and towels. When you’re not touring Central London, you can just stay in your simply opulent accommodations and watch DVDs that you can borrow from the staff.

Whether you’re in London for business, for the holidays, or for leisure, it helps that you have the Presidential Serviced Apartments to come home to as your home-away-from-home in London.

The Smartest Decision to Make When Visiting London

London, England is one of Europe’s busiest and most famous cities today. It is one of the worlds most visited and historically rich tourist destinations. It is also known for being home to major blockbusters like the Harry Potter series, The King’s Speech and Notting Hill.
Just visiting a place like this wouldn’t even be close to scratching the surface of all the things that make it the incredible city it is. Something’s always happening in each corner you visit—and with a city this huge, you could do something different every day and still wish for more time. In fact, the growing list of things the city is and the things you can do in it is seemingly reaching a point of endlessness.
Whether you’re in London or in a completely different place, you’re going to have to find a place you can temporarily call home. The number one priority most visitors have would be finding the right accommodations to suit both their budget and their needs. And because London is notoriously known for its lack of frugality, hotels are slowly losing their place in the industry to the rise of Holiday Apartments in London.
Nowadays, most travelers skip the appeal hotels have for the homey feel a holiday apartment or an aparthotel gives. Aparthotels London are not only a great way to save money when you’re traveling on a budget, but are also the best places stay in if you’re looking for a settled and comfortable space you could have all to yourself.
They give you the privacy hotels never seem to give—you won’t have to wake up early to turn doorknob signs or to avoid wasting free breakfasts. With holiday apartments and aparthotels, you can do as you please and still come home to your own comfortable and welcoming space.
They’re a frugal traveler’s best kept secret—one thing that makes accommodations like these great would be the fact that their rates decrease with time. The longer you stay, the more your rates decrease. With this in hand, you won’t have to worry about how many days your stay lasts—you can even stay longer if you wish.

Staying in Aparthotels in Kensington and holiday hotels is a smart decision whenever you’re seeking comfort at affordable prices. They offer a comfortable and settled vibe that’s suited for anyone that wants to stay a bit longer in the city of London.

Backpacking Basics that Every London Traveller Should Know

Who says you can’t go backpacking in London? When you hear the word backpacking, you might be thinking about carrying a backpack while visiting a South East Asian country. This is the notion of some inexperienced travellers. For the experienced and risk-taker, though, every place on Earth is a potential destination for backpacking—including the busy and lively city of London.
Backpacking Defined
Backpacking is a type of independent travel wherein a person carries a backpack, opts for public transport, stays in low-cost accommodation, and has an interest in interacting with locals. A backpacker may also be seen walking or hiking for miles on natural landmarks and local communities.
This is the exact opposite of group travels or tour packages set by travel agencies. In group travels, participants usually have suitcases and hand-carry bags. Travel agencies also provide tour buses exclusive for their clients during their trips, along with posh hotel accommodations. The goal of the offer is to let you see lots of tourist attractions and experience lots of activities within a predetermined time frame. To make this possible, the time you can spend for each destination is much shortened.
Backpacking aims for a trip that is enjoyable, meaningful and affordable. London is certainly one of the most expensive places to visit in the world. But there are still several low-cost destinations, activities, Aparthotels London, and diners in or near the said city.
Things to Prepare
Your travel documents and money should be your number one priority when preparing for your London backpacking trip. Keep your documents in a tightly sealed, waterproof bag.
Also, don’t forget your backpack. Make sure it is lightweight, sturdy and comfortable to wear. However, some backpackers these days bring small wheeled suitcases instead. If you are planning to walk a lot for your travel, you should opt for a backpack because it is easier to carry
Setting the bag for your trip makes the packing more manageable. You know your luggage space is limited so you might and should choose fewer items to bring along.
The next thing you need to prepare is your clothes. Instead of bringing multiple jeans and shoes, just pack one pair for each. You can pack a handful when it comes to undergarments, tops and towels. For your personal care products, you can simply buy them at convenience stores in the city.
Limit your gadgets to two or three. As much as possible, choose the ones with compact designs.
Don’t forget to research and plan well for your itinerary. Always bring a map along. Aside from that, prepare yourself for your interactions with locals and fellow travellers alike.

Americano-schmericano. Try the London Buzz!

Location, location, location—where you stay for the night can make or break a vacation. Fortunately, the Presidential Apartments Kensington is always there for your unique needs. For instance, if you’re jet-lagged and looking for a serious caffeine hit to wake you up, why not try the off-beat coffee shops that are just a hop, skip and jump away from the Aparthotels in Kensington?

Even tea-loving Brits have come to embrace the thick, heady fragrance of bitter coffee. But there’s more than just cream to the coffee experience; there’s also some healthy bit of puckish fun that seems to defy the stiff upper lip facade.

First off is the Cereal Killer Cafe on 139 Brick Lane. If you’re famished but not quite yet ready for a hearty, greasy breakfast, then maybe a bowl of milk paired with one of their one hundred and twenty cereal collection should be enough to perk you up with a sugary jolt of energy.

Once you’re all livened up, you might be feeling up to some activities. If you’re the animal-loving type, look for Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium over on Benthnal Green. They have nine rescue cats that are there for you to play with and cuddle, a nice respite from the stresses of cramped travel spaces and rushed schedules. Enjoy their company as you take a bite from biscuits or cake and sip some hot, fine tea.

If you feel confident in your handicraft skills, or if you’re looking for a chance to learn something new, go ahead and visit Sew Over It in Clapham or Islington. They have sewing machines which you can rent for an hour, which also provides you with a pot of tea, because working the needle and thread is hard work. You can even make your own dress or shirt to take home, and if you find the quality lacking and you have some time and patience to spare, feel free to attend the classes they offer.

Not yet ready to go back to the Aparthotels London? Then your next stop could be Drink Shop Do on King’s Cross. After all the coffee and tea, a bit of booze and chips should hit the spot and end the day right. If you’re inclined to show off your classic dance moves, check the bar out on Friday and Saturday evenings. You’ll fit right in, or perhaps even better, stand out! Then after a lively evening out and about, get a friend or a faithful cabbie to take you to the Presidential Apartments Kensington, where you can finally get some well-deserved top of the line rest and relaxation.

The Great Fire of London

On the night of September 2, 1666, The Great Fire of London began as a small fire on Pudding Lane, in the bakeshop.  The fire spread in very fast from there and carried on towards the Thames since houses were of wood and pitch construction which are dangerously flammable.

An extensive rebuilding programme took place after London’s Great Fire in 1666 and took about 50 years to complete.

A major exhibition has opened in the Museum of London this year in July 2016 about this disaster, which took place exactly 350 years ago. Localites and visitors from all over the world are excited to attend the exhibition to see what life was like for seventeenth century Londoners.

There are several Aparthotels in Kensington that gives tourists the quick access to the venue.

Even if you are just back packing or with friends on a limited budget, you would want to be in the center of it all, where transport is easy to get by and going home to a cozy and relaxing place is a cinch, where you can have privacy but still have things within easy reach.  Fortunately, you can have all these and still enjoy the amenities of furnished aparthotels London. Centrally located and reasonably priced, these holiday apartments in London can provide you with the perks you enjoy in hotels (housekeeping, reception, taxi service) on top of the amenities of a serviced apartment (furnished, spacey, private, and yes, budget friendly).

For a minimum stay of 2 days (up to as long as you want), you can expect the aparthotels to charge a fixed daily rate (with progressive discounts for longer stays) regardless of the number of people staying in the unit (hotels do limit occupancy to a certain number per room).  Housekeeping schedules can be arranged at your pleasure, so that you can have all the privacy you want.

Tired of restaurant food?  You can spruce up anything in your kitchen complete with all accessories you can think of.  For families, these holiday apartments in London provide a homey atmosphere where children can spend time with parents - just like when they are at home.

If you are a student on a holiday, you can stretch your budget by looking at the studio apartments near the town center.  Developed with the adult student population in mind, these dedicated blocks of studio apartment provide amenities that cater to the young adult population, including game rooms, fitness and cinema rooms and garden areas.  Meeting rooms are also available for hire where you can have your meetings or simply just have fun.  All these amenities are just a few steps away from each other.

So the next time you go to London, get the best of both worlds. Think of holiday apartments where you can enjoy hotel perks and apartment living advantages without necessarily paying much. Aparthotels can provide comfort and relaxation at its best.
