A visit to London is not complete without absorbing the history. There are many sites that played huge roles in shaping world history. Many of them are accessible via tours. You can enjoy with a group or on your own.

Places in History
Enrich yourself with a visit to the following historical places all over London:
Westminster Abbey – A UNESCO World Heritage Site. Westminster Abbey is the site of many of the country’s coronations. It also serves as the final resting ground of England’s prominent authors, philosophers, scientists and great thinkers.
Pay your respects to Charles Darwin and Sir Isaac Newton in the nave. Walk over to the South Transept and eulogize Rudyard Kipling and his peers.  Relive the majestic 2011 wedding of Prince William and Duchess Kate. Drop by for the daily worship services and sermons.

Benjamin Franklin House – It is a short ride from the holiday apartments in London. Experience what one of the Founding Fathers of America did in the 1750s. Get a chance to relive it with the Historical Experience tour. It lasts one hour and takes you back in time. The tour includes exploring the three floors of the building and an architectural discussion on Mondays.
Jewel Tower – King Edward III commissioned the building to house his treasures. Explore it today and wonder at the completeness of the medieval building.  
St. Paul’s Cathedral – Visit the magnificent, iconic building and marvel at its many attractions. Wonder at the cathedral’s dome depicting the life of Saint Paul. Walk through the nave and find the Whispering Gallery. Absorb the beauty of the High Altar and the Grand Organ. Walk the length of the crypt. Find the tombs of Alexander Fleming, Admiral Lord Nelson and a host of other noted British personalities.
Tower of London – Lovers of mystery and the macabre should not miss the opportunity to visit. Find out if the ghost of Anne Boleyn haunts the halls. Visit the Beefeaters and walk their tour. Look in awe at Her Majesty’s Crown Jewels on display.
Windsor Castle – A visit to London is not complete without seeing the weekend residence of Her Majesty. Watch the Changing of the Guard and visit Queen Mary’s Doll House. Take a walk at the Long Walk and find some time to drop by the State Apartments. Relive history every step of the way.
